Synthesis and Biological Activity of Pyrazolo[4,3-c]heterocyclic Derivatives: A Mini Review
Authors: Anna Wojcicka and Lilianna BecanThis review presents most of the literature data about synthesis and biological activity of pyrazolo[4,3-c]heterocyclic derivatives. Pyrazolo[4,3-c]heterocyclic derivatives show the antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antitumor, analgesic and antiphlogistic activities, and effects on the nervous and immune system. The broad spectrum of biological activity of pyrazolo[4,3-c]heterocyclic derivatives is the main reason for Read More

Recent Progress in BINOL Mediated Asymmetric Reactions
Authors: Jun-Dao Chen, Lei Fang and Chuan-Feng ChenBINOL and its derivatives as a class of important and attractive compounds have been widely used in asymmetric synthesis. They could not only play as a part of chiral ligands, but also work well as organocatalysts. This review mainly focused on the recent progress in BINOL mediated asymmetric reactions including C-C bond forming reactions and C-hetero bond forming reactions.

Fullerenes: Chemistry and Its Applications
Authors: Madhura Mohan Gokhale and Rakesh Ravindra SomaniFullerenes being allotropes of carbon, have been considered as new class of molecules. Unlike diamond and graphite, this is made up of hollow carbon cage structure. The idea of spheroidal cage structures of C60 arose from construction of geodesic domes made by renowned architect Buckminster Fuller. Although fullerenes have low solubility in physiological media they finds promising biological applications. The photo, Read More
