Abstract
The paper gives a brief overview of current state of patents in Serbia. Preview includes the number of applicants and registered patents. Here are presented two most important patents in the field of petroleum industry. System for thermal paraffin removal in tubing and Piston pump with hydraulic power transmission are related to the efficient production of oil. The System for thermal paraffin removal in tubing won first place in the competition for the best technological innovation in Serbia in 2009, and nominated for ENI Awards 2012th.
