Abstract

The difunctionalization of unsaturated carbon-carbon double bond is a powerful strategy for the construction of compounds with various functional groups. The present review aims to highlight the recent developments in the fluorination of alkenes with concomitant introduction of additional functional groups. Various methods are described for both intramolecular and intermolecular fluorofunctionalization of alkenes. These fluorofunctionalization processes should find broad applications in pharmaceutical and material industries.
