The root cause is due to the lack of a scalable network to monitor the physical conditions over vast forest areas. To overcome this, we used the NRF24L01+ module configured in mesh network mode interfaced with Arduino along with DHT22, MQ2 sensors, powered by Lithium-ion batteries which can be recharged with solar panel, this allows the node to reconnect to the network automatically in case of any damage to its parent node.
